Away from the party, the sound is coming through muffled and yet, it all still feels so overwhelming to Flynn. double hatching quest

Because I just think it’s fun and I don’t update tumblr as much as I used to about my double hatches, I just thought I’d let you know that I’m still on my "hatch a double of every color” quest, and I just hatched my 200th double yesterday!

I’m at 129/177 colors hatched now and I seem to be getting a really nice streak of no duplicates lately. I have a feeling that will change very soon and I may eat my words very badly. I feel like me and RNG have gotten to know each other very well and it has taken that relationship and used it to pull a 80��s-era-movie-bully “knock the books out of my hands as I’m walking to class” move. And then sometimes it’ll help pick them up for me, which is nice. And then it’ll knock it out of my hands again. It’s been a lot of fun and I am having a blast with this journey, as it turns out. Kind of a pain on my FR wallet (as in it is taking my wallet and flushing it down a toilet) but I’m kind of shifting my focus on FR to finish this quest, anyways, since it’s definitely the goal I want to complete the most. At least until I start feeling a little better and can do more art again.

Let me tell you. It has been a long journey, with many many interesting dragons, and many not so interesting dragons, but most of all, it’s gotten me six strawberry doubles somehow, and I don’t know why they keep showing up.

I started reading Belding Bro's Revised Needle and Hook (1902) about needle painting/silk painting. It's interesting, but I'm loving the examples of silk painting. It's awesome to see what people were doing with the same craft so long ago.

It was only meant to be a short little nap--just a quick rest to get some of her strength back. The nightmares had been terrible lately, and Kairi didn't want to be alone if they came again. Blake made her feel safe; his smile was kind, his hands were gentle, and his presence was a comfort. She fell asleep quickly, trusting that he would in fact be in the very same spot that he was in when her eyes closed.

So when something woke her with a start, making her sit up bolt-right on the daybed, the first place she looked was the chair he'd been sitting in. Her heart sank when she found it empty, until she noticed his coat laid across the back of it. maybe, he'd just gotten up to get some fresh air, or get a drink? Surely he wouldn't just leave his coat behind.

With a hand over her chest, Kairi tried to catch her breath after the scare that she'd had. What had woken her up, she wondered? Was it another nightmare?

A clatter from down the hall made her jump again, whipping her head towards the sound. What quickly followed was the sound of someone whimpering and groaning, and a strange crackling sound. Kairi's hands began to shake.

"...Blake?" She called out. "Blake, is that you?"

Best $150 I've ever spent.

I won't have time to do any restoration work until after the holidays, which is good because I've never restored anything before.

The wood is dry and needs re-sealing. The belt is brittle and needs to be replaced. The cast iron looks in reasonably good shape and shouldn't need much attention. And obviously the gears need fresh oil.

If anyone can identify the model of sewing machine or point me to a good resource for restoration work, I would appreciate it.

Nightwing: Yeah, it’s cuz he’s an Impulsive Parental Figure. If he talks too much he’ll start using his Dad Voice and then his entire Batman image would be ruined.

Red Hood: It’s not that different from his I Am Vengeance Voice, but there’s more of a tone of resigned WTF Did I Do To Deserve These Kids, or the Loving What Did I Do To Deserve These Kids. Or irritation, depending on what we broke this week.

Nightwing: Sometimes it’s an antique worth thousands of dollars. Other times, it’s the final thread of his remaining sanity. It differs week to week?

Red Robin: Remember that one week we accidentally broke the antique lamp he hated when we were trying out new Batarangs? I think we hit the trifecta that night.

Nightwing: I’m still confused as to why that was down in the cave.

Superman: I’m just confused.

Im considering making the ribbons detachable, here's some more photos ♡ I'm so in love with the colours of this one. I need to restock as much of this ribbon, yarn, and lace as I can... Also, a photo of the tapestry in the light to show how soft the pink is!

new headdress I'm working on for my shop. Lambkin, the pet name varré gives us in elden ring, is such a cute word. The pink yarn is very light against the cream, it's hard to capture but it "blushes" in light, almost disappearing under certain angles and light! Accented with antique lace, and it'll have a gorgeous matching ribbon and bows.

I haven't posted any personal work in a while so here's something I'm taking time on for myself ^-^
